You are in control. You decide how to proceed. 

If you choose to proceed, your tax file is submitted electronically and once the IRS accepts it, you get a PDF copy for your records via email. 

All fees ($275) are deducted from your federal refund, so no out-of-pocket cost to you. *Sidebar - The only time you pay upfront is if your tax file shows that you owe money or if your refund is less than the $275 fee (federal only). In that case, payments are accepted via credit card, debit card, Cashapp, Zelle, etc.*
